Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, the Imam of the Grand Holy Mosque, Member of Senior Scholars Council and Advisor at the Royal Court said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has exerted great efforts in renouncing violence, preventing spreading of hatred and emphasizing coexistence and joint action for the stability of peoples and their protection from extremism and violence.

He stressed that the situation of today's world requires the religious leaders to confirm the innocence of religions from the tendencies of evil and annihilation inflicted on them by sick minds and souls of the bloody mood.

This came in his speech during a meeting held at the United Nations Headquarters during which UN Office on Genocide Prevention and the Responsibility to Protect, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Center for Interreligious and Interfaith Dialogue, the Network of Religious and Traditional Peacemakers, and the World Council of Churches launched a plan of action for religious leaders and parties aimed at preventing incitement for violence that could lead to genocide, as well as five regional action plans developed by religious leaders and parties from around the world.
